Sustainable innovations for lung health
Kenya’s health sector has seen tremendous developments over the past few years, ranging from technological advancements to drug dispensation. All these are in a bid to meet the third sustainable development goal on good health and well-being. However, HIV, tuberculosis and malaria are some of the illnesses that have caused a majority of the demises in the country.
Stop TB Partnership Kenya is an organization that hopes to do more, do something and do better together with stakeholders and people affected and those suffering from TB. TB lies squarely in the thread of lung-related illnesses. In this line, Stop TB Partnership-Kenya in collaboration with the National TB program and other partners will be hosting the 4th Kenya International Scientific Lung Health Conference that will be held on 20th to 23rdJune at the Weston Hotel, Nairobi.
The theme for this conference is sustainable innovation for lung health, aiming at addressing issues in lung health that are of great interest to Kenyans. Some of the key discussions will be on pneumonia, COPD, asthma, HIV, TB diagnostics and new TB drugs. Registration for the conference is on-going.
